Six Empty Places

Six Empty Places – On Photography, Culture and Crisis is a visual essay created for Dutch-language journal Rekto:Verso.

The measures taken in the context of the coronacrisis are far-reaching. One of their effects is that places we associate with human presence are now empty. The same goes for the cultural world. Six Empty Places analyzes and shows the way the culture sector is affected by that emptiness and how that cultural crisis is being represented photographically.
